I love it to be right. I predicted a win for LSU and they delivered. The toughness of their schedule and their near losses made them a team that just couldn’t lose. Ohio State on the other hand had everything to lose. After losing last year’s National Championship game, they needed a win very bad.
And that’s how they started, playing like a team determined to win. They were better prepared than LSU, but when small things change the pace of the game, you just can’t win. LSU showed the resilience they showed earlier this season and everything fell into it’s place. And the Buckeyes went 0-9 against the SEC in Bowl games, making a very good case for some sort of a playoffs system in college football. I know at least two teams that would’ve made better candidates for this title game.
